Job transition resources on Thrivent.com can help job seekers
If you're looking for a job – or know someone who is – check out the Job Transition Resources from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Practical tools are delivered in eight educational modules you complete online at your convenience. Topics range from cover letters and interview tips, to making use of social media and negotiating benefits when you get a job offer.

There are also financial checklists that provide hints based on your circumstance, whether you are anticipating job loss, currently unemployed or recently hired. The resources provide tips for navigating emotionally and spiritually during transition as well.

Visit Thrivent.com/jobchange to get started. (There's an easy "email a friend" feature so you can share it with people who may benefit from the job tools.)

Thrivent Financial has a long history of helping members in times of crisis. The current high unemployment rate prompted the development of these resources, but they are relevant to anyone who is seeking a job, including new college graduates and people seeking a voluntary career change.

NEW VICE PRESIDENT-LYNN TROWBRIDGE

Lynn Trowbridge is a lifelong resident of the New Auburn area where he and his wife Kathleen raised their three children. He is a retired electrician, active in his church, Chetek Lutheran, and is serving on the board of directors of the Citizens Telephone Company. In Lynn's spare time he likes to hunt, raise pheasants, do woodworking, and most of all spending time with their nine grandchildren. Lynn's experience will be a great asset to our board.

NEW EVENTS DIRECTOR-REV JODY BECKER

Rev Jody is a  graduate of Ladysmith High School, studied Music Education at Augsburg College in Minnesota, served as Youth Director at Hope Lutheran Church, Ladysmith, and was an EMT for Rusk County. In May of 2011 she graduated from Luther Seminary with a MS of Divinity and was ordained into the North American Lutheran Church in her home congregation. Rev Jody was called to Bethel Lutheran church in Hawkins and Bethany Lutheran church in Catawba to serve as Pastor.
With her husband Chad and their three children Rev Jody continues to feel blessed by God in work, family and faith. Rev Jody will be an excellent addition to our board.
