Chapter Leader Election Invitation
The Burke-Divide County Chapter will hold its Annual Election, Meeting and Volunteer Recognition on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Noonan, ND.


9:00 - 9:30 am - Breakfast Goodies
9:30 - 10:00 - Business Meeting with Reports from Officers
10:00 - 10:30 - Election for 2011 local Chapter Leadership Board
10:30 - 11:00 - Review of Thrivent Choice Program & Congregational Programming Ideas
11:00 - Recognition of Thrivent Financial Volunteers

           Questions & Answer Session and Fellowship




We Need You, Yes You!

Our chapter will have several leadership opportunities for next year. The only requirements are: being a Thrivent Financial member; a desire to help people; and five to 15 hours per month volunteer time (depending on the position).


We very much need you on the chapter leadership board—without a full board, our chapter will not qualify for the funding that helps people and our community. Around August 23rd eligible members of Burke-Divide County Chapter received letters about their participation in Thrivent Choice. Apparently some of you thought this looked like an advertisement. Please check any correspondence you have received from Thrivent Finanical.  Your congregation along with area Bible Camps and other Lutheran entities are just a few of the "Choices" you have to direct designated Choice Dollars to. Participation is simple and easy, without any complicated forms to complete. You'll be able to vote or direct Choice Dollars in a way that's convenient for you. Congregational Advocates Wanted!

Sponsor an Educational Outing at Your Place
The Burke-Divide County Chapter of Thrivent Financial still has Operational Funds available for congregations to host educational workshops for your congregation. Each of our area financial representatives have several workshops that they are able to come and present to your members. Funds can be requested to provide coffee and goodies, pizza for a youth gathering or even a small meal to host participants. To request funding please contact Peggy Anderson at 701-377-2852.
