It's great to have you here!We have 33 churches in our Chapter, which are found in the (18) counties of Belmont and Jefferson in Ohio and Barbour, Brooke, Doddridge, Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Upshur, and Wetzel in West Virginia, and Fayette and Greene in Pennsylvania.

Celebrate 2010 Accomplishments |
Celebrating Our Roots and Growing Our Future Congratulations and thank you for a great 2010! The year saw some big changes—Thrivent Choice and the congregational advocate role, for example—and some great accomplishments. Here are some 2010 highlights, you had a part in: Introduced 38,000 new members to Thrivent Financial. Planned and hosted more than 3,300 educational and social events. Recruited over 15,000 congregational advocates in 8,500 congregations. More than 150,000 members voted in the first Thrivent Choice VotingSM Event. More than 16,000 Lutheran organizations received Choice Dollars funding. Thrivent Financial distributed $11 million to Lutheran congregations and organizations through members' participation in Choice Dollars. Helped make 11.5 million hours of volunteer service happen through chapter projects and activities. Raised over $65 million in support of communities, organizations, and families. Through the alliance, Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity, 278 houses were built nationally and internationally and 110,000 hours of volunteer work was donated by Thrivent Financial members (out of 340,000 total volunteer hours). These are truly amazing results! Thank you for your commitment and dedication to our members and this organization. CHOICE DOLLAR VOTE RESULTS-MARCH 2011 |
Members vote on $1 million charitable distribution A total of 130,681 Thrivent Financial members cast votes in the winter Thrivent ChoiceSM Voting Event. Voting ended Feb. 28. Members recommended where Thrivent Financial distributes $1 million of its charitable outreach funds among seven national Lutheran and non-Lutheran charitable organizations. Based on the percentage of votes cast, the organizations received the following charitable funds: Bethesda Lutheran Communities: $136,317
Feeding America: $206,335
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service: $50,979
Lutheran Services in America: $129,927
Orphan Grain Train: $153,182
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: $279,941
Wheat Ridge Ministries: $43,319
All members 16 and older are eligible to participate in Voting Events. | |

In order to receive Choice Dollars grant funds, which can benefit your congregation and is just one component of the Thrivent Choice program, make sure your church has enrolled in this program. You will need the ID number from the letter that was sent to each church, as well as your church Tax ID #, Bank name, routing #, and account #.
This program has begun, Choice Dollars can be directed to your church bank account by Eligible Thrivent Financial Benefit members IF YOUR CHURCH IS ONE THAT IS ENROLLED.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP ANNUAL RENEWAL |

The fee to become a new Associate Member and the fee to renew your Asociate Membership has been increased for the year 2011.
Like everything else changes are coming and the new fee has been set at $19.95. Associate Members receive two reminders when their renewal time approaches. A memo is sent to them 6 weeks prior to their anniversary date and again on the anniversary date. If anyone has not received these notices, please let us know so the error may be corrected. Update information online (church membership, e-mail, etc.) At your fingertips: Update your church and e-mail information on thrivent.com Have you recently moved or changed your e-mail address or church membership? If yes, you now have an easy and quick way to not only ensure the information Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has on file for you is accurate, but to also update it – immediately! The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Web site now has a secure page to review and update this information – with just a few clicks of the mouse. Go to www.thrivent.com and click on Your Accounts. Enter your User ID and Password (first-time users will need to complete an easy one-time registration) to access the My Accounts page, which provides a comprehensive financial summary of your Thrivent Financial products. Click “Edit My Page” and a screen will appear showing your name, address, phone number(s), e-mail, church membership information and more. Click on the “Update” link to change any wrong or outdated information, such as where you have church membership. You also can review and update information on other Thrivent Financial members who reside in your household (e.g., spouse and children). If you do not have Internet access but need to update information, please contact your Thrivent Financial representative or Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and they will be happy to help you. | |
