Weekday Worship Service - First Wednesday of each month |
CHANGE OF SCHEDULE - IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY THE HOLY COMMUNION AT IMMANUEL WILL BE 10:30 AT FEBRUARY 8TH.The First Wednesday of each month at 10:30am at Immanuel – A Unique worship Opportunity for you and/or yours. There’s a wide variety of reasons (physical, social, etc) why people may not be comfortable worshipping with large numbers of people on Sunday mornings. It is for such folks that we offer a worship service (with Holy Communion) on the first Wednesday of the month at 10:30am. If you or anyone you know might be interested and have questions, please call the Church Office 237-2380. Please come and be fed by the Word – the Word of Life! |

| | A Special Voters Meeting has been called for Sunday, February 12th immediately following worship. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and vote on a proposal of the Facilities Committee which would set the financial parameters necessary to allow us to take the next step in providing our congregation with a new education/family life building. This proposal identifies the site of the new building to be on the west end of the current school lot (south of High Ave). It sets a cap of 1.4 million dollars on the overall project cost and a cap of $900,000.00 on the final loan amount. It also requires that the Building Fund have a balance of $200,000.00. It does NOT commit the congregation to actually borrowing money or building. That would require another congregational vote once exact costs and specific design plans have been decided on.Please keep our congregation and its mission of proclaiming Christ in your prayers. It is an important time as we seek to remain faithful to our baptismal calling! |
| LENTEN SERVICESAsh Wednesday, February 22nd, starts our Lenten Season. Again this year, we will have services at 3:45pm and 7:00pm with Holy Communion. A Lenten Supper will be offered each Wednesday during Lent. All men and boys from the congregation are invited to a weekly Lenten Breakfast at one of the area churches. The breakfasts begin at 7am with food and a short devotion. The first breakfast on Thursday, February 23rd will be at Immanuel.

Capital Stewardship Campaign |

|
“Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow!”“Stepping Forward in Faith: Generation to Generation” It should come as a surprise to no one that God continues to bless His people, in this New Year as in the year past. Likewise, it should not surprise us that God’s people continue to share those blessings to advance His Kingdom. Thus, we are pleased to report that new pledges continue to come in weekly as well as cash gifts and gifts of stock in fulfillment of earlier pledges. In particular, we are pleased to receive numerous commitments from alumni and from members of surrounding LCMS congregations. To date, we have received a total of $ 112,413.00 toward our stewardship campaign and, after expenses, we currently have $ 100,876.00 in our Building Fund. All of this is, of course, aimed at providing a new space to carry out our God-given task of nurturing our children in the Christian faith – that they might become better, more confident, witnesses for Jesus. Please keep our building project in your prayers as we move forward in the fundraising and decision making process. To God all Praise and Glory!

| In the Church, red is the color of the Holy Spirit. In sporting these red banners, we at Immanuel remind ourselves and the community that we have been given the gift of the Spirit at Pentecost - a gift that continues to strengthen us in faith and motivate us to witness to Christ our Lord. |

| White - in the Church, it is the color of celebration! Used for the festival seasons of Christmas and Easter, as well as for speical days like Transfiguration, Thanksgiving, All Saints Day, Trinity Sunday, it's a sign that God is blessing us in a special way. |

| In the Christian Church as well as in nature, green is the color of growth. As long as plants are green we know they are continuing to mature and, ultimately, to produce fruit. During the seasons of Pentecost and Ephiphany we focus on the teachings of our Lord Jesus, trusting that they will lead to greater faith and Christian maturity. |
