Advent greetings! What does "Advent" mean? It means "to come" and during the four weeks before Christmas we are looking for the return of Christ, even as we hear God's story of coming down to be among in the flesh as a baby. We are three congregations located on the prairie in Wells County, ND ~ Bowdon Lutheran of Bowdon, Concordia Lutheran of rural Fessenden, and Trinity Lutheran of Bremen. We are partnering together for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our communities and our world.
Christmas Eve worship will be at Concordia at 4 p.m., Trinity Bremen at 5 p.m. and Bowdon Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. Christmas Day worship will be at First Lutheran in Fessenden at 10:30 a.m.
Regular Sunday worship is at 9 a.m. at Concordia on the first, third, and fifth Sundays and at Bremen on the second and fourth Sundays, or at Bowdon for worship at 11 a.m. every Sunday. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. for all ages, including adults.
This fall we began a new set of readings for Sunday morning called the Narrative Lectionary, which is all about opening up the story of scripture historical order throughout the year. Please see below for bulletin inserts (pictured above) for each week, as well as the order of readings for the year. This is free for all to use. Come back each week for more of the Story...
