WELCOME TO BETHANY

God's work --- our hands.

+ + +

We welcome all visitors! Bethany Lutheran Church celebrates God's Good News and invites all to attend our worship services.

+ + +

We worship every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Our worship style reflects a more traditional flavor but we incorporate a more contemporary style throughout the month.
We utilize a large video screen to enrich our services. We celebrate God's gifts to us through our music and we learn from God's Good News through Scripture and uplifting and inspiring sermon messages.

Sunday School is at 10:00 a.m. while we host a fellowship hour in our Fellowship Hall. Please join us.

Our confirmation program lifts up our young people and explores their faith walk. The program consists of two years of intense Bible-based instruction, memorization, and service to the larger community around us. The third year of confirmation is a reflective year where students learn with their parents, serve the church in a variety of ways, serve the larger community, and dig deeply into the rich faith heritage of their extended family.
Encourage your child to be part of our educational program.

Bethany Lutheran Church is in a transition period.
We have several area pastors who will be serving us as well as area lay ministers.

Our Lay Ministry team will be very active during this period as we restructure who we are and how everyone in our congregation can be a vital instrument in "making disciples of all nations." We celebrate each individual's God-given talents and desire everyone to feel they are part of Bethany's ministry to the world around us.

Pray for our church.
Pray that we may do God's will in bringing others to Christ.
Pray that Bethany can be a blessing to this community and the greater world around us.
Pray.

Bethany Lutheran's Constitution and Bylaws

1 Corinthians 1 : 3-17 and 10: 23-33

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.”

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, for, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”[f]

If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience. But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience. I am referring to the other person’s conscience, not yours. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience? If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.
......................

Bethany Lutheran Church is more than the beautiful building which houses members. Bethany Lutheran Church is the members --- it is members celebrating and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Bethany is not owned by those who grew up in this community of believers but is owned by God -- it truly is God's House. Thus ALL are welcome here --- we are all sinners seeking to find mercy at the foot of a blood stained cross. Whether you have been a church goer here here for decades or a newcomer to the faith-- you are welcome. We reach out to you with open arms and are glad to share our House of Prayer.
Welcome!
