Tanganyika Family Day 2008 |
|
On September 6th, 2008, approximately 240 Wichita area Lutherans gathered at the newly opened Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard, Kansas. Kids, Parents and Thrivent personnel greeted one another, learned a bit about using money, had a terrific lunch and visited the animals of the park. |

| | We experienced giraffes, a rhino, tigers, monkeys, a camel, exotic birds and more.
A great time was had by all and many folks made new friends. Thanks for coming.

| Thrivent Financial Awards Grant to Local HS Group | |
Matt Ticknor, Local Thrivent Financial Associate awarded the SW Missouri Lutheran High School Project Committee a $1500 Grant, to match the $1500 they recently raised in December, to supplement their ongoing efforts to build a Lutheran High School in the area.

of a Lutheran High School in Southwest Missouri.They are in the
initial phase of a feasibility study named the Genesis Project. Through a
multi-step process, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) consultants have assisted our congregations in
determining whether a Lutheran school could be successful in our geographic
area.

those unable to attend a way to communicate with us. We encourage all
those interested in this project to register on the above website. Once
