Your East Minnehaha Thrivent Chapter board has started another year, blessed in many different ways. First, thank you to the many people who donate their time to be of service to this Chapter! Second, the best thing that we can hope for is a year when there are no groups, individuals, or families that have serious accidents or illnesses. We all pray for that. However, the reality is that these problems do exist and those people need some help! Maybe this year more than ever with the financial hardships we are experiencing.

The East Minnehaha Chapter of Thrivent wants to pass on a message to the Thrivent congregational coordinators and to all the congregations in Eastern Minnehaha County: If you know an individual or family within our East Minnehaha area that is undergoing health related problems or has other hardships, please contact us. We have supporting funds available for just these situations. Thrivent makes these funds available to be awarded locally for those in need. The board can only award these funds if people in our community will apply for assistance.

So, please look around-- if you hear about a neighbor, friend, or relative that could be helped by a fundraiser or hands-on activity with supporting funds from Thrivent, please let us know. Also, there is money available for work projects for groups to assist in making positive contributions to your communities. Only you can help us help your community!
