What's new with us...
There are a lot of new things going on in Washington! Israel has recently decided to stay in the Marine Corps, so his re-enlistment is coming up this week, and his officer program package is due next week. He is busy running and getting in shape for his Physical Fitness Test. I (Jennifer) have met with OHLC's call committee and should be beginning a call soon. There are a few technicalities that must be taken care of before I can be consecrated. I will be taking some high school students to Holden Village this weekend for a peace and justice workshop which should be wonderful!
In other news, we are moving from our apartment (our first married home!) to a beautiful guest cottage on the water. A retired pastor and his wife who attend our church have invited us to live in the guest home until we move to Seattle for Israel's schooling. It is a very cozy yet roomy one-bedroom home with a woodstove. We can see Puget Sound, Mount Baker, and a small orchard from our windows. We are extremely excited about this generous offer, and we will be moving in October.
We also recently went on a great Alaska cruise! There are some pictures in our photo album from the cruise. It was a great time, very relaxing and fun!
