Welcome!
Creating a web site is not something I ever thought I would do!
I was forced :) into it, as it is an assignment for an Educational Technology class I am required to take.
By creating a personal web site, I thought I could communicate with all of you who do not live in the wonderful state of North Carolina. Well, y'all :) know I've forgotten how to address birthday cards and letters!
I do think of you all the time, and you are in my prayers.

Visits from family

I purchased a scanner so that I could add some pictures to this web site. Unfortunately, we have a glich and my computer tells me I can't add it. This will be a work in process.

WHAT WE ARE READING

Edgecombe County, where we live, has a program called "Edgecombe Reads". The new Superintendent of Schools started it last year to challenge the County to read 1 million (I think) books. Each child/teacher/parent had to read 25 books. We did it! This year he has upped it to 50 books. Everyone has gotten into this. We have to keep track of what we read and post it on our doors. We keep track of what our students read and turn that in weekly. The County Library keeps track. Even our paychecks say "What are you reading?" It is a great program.
We are both hooked on the series by Janet Evanovich. One For the Money, is the first. Stephanie Plum is a New Jersey bounty hunter and is ill prepared for her job. It is a cute series; a little romance, a little action. We are on book 5 and are awaiting it's return to the library. TRY IT! YOU'LL LIKE IT!
