A web site for the family and friends of the Rev. Edwin and Frieda Beckler family. This is their wedding picture. Both are now with their Savior. Frieda Beckler passed away August 9th, 1986. She was born in 1897. Edwin Beckler came from the Becklers located in Deshler, Nebraska. He went to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis to study and become a member of the Pastoral Roster of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. That is where he met Frieda Matilda Marie Emde. They were married and began a life of ministry together. Numerous stories can be told about their joys and their struggles in life. All of those roots bind us together as a family and those stories continue to stay alive with every reunion. The family can be found throughout the United States with original family members living in Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota, Texas, Minnesota, Nebraska, California and Colorado. One of the grandchildren has an address in Russia. It is our hope and prayer that this new internet technology will keep us bound together with family and friends throughout the world. | This beautiful picture of Edwin and Frieda Beckler was taken at their 50th wedding anniversary. Before their retirement years, the Becklers served parishes in Moberly, Missouri, Shelton, Nebraska, the Hastings area (Juniata), Rising City and Tobias, Nebraska, where he retired. Retirement was spent in Grand Island. Even in his retirement, he served the Soldier's and Sailor's home as a Chaplin and worked with the Pastors at Trinity. To this day, many parishioners still remember Edwin and Frieda Beckler and are still very kind to their children. |
