Opportunities to Worship and Praise |
WORSHIP SERVICES Sunday morning Worship Services are conducted at 9 am during the summer months, and at 8:30 & 10:30 am with Bible class and Sunday School at 9:15 am the rest of the year. Monday evening Worship Services are conducted at 7pm year round. Additional services held throughout the year include: mid-week Lenten services at 4:30pm and 7pm, one mid-week Advent service at 7pm, New Years Eve, Maundy Thursday, 2 different services on Good Friday, Thanksgiving Eve, Ascension Eve. WORSHIP MUSIC Two traditional choirs, a chime choir, and several additional vocalists provide special worship music. St. Paul's Senior Choir is open to anyone of high school age or older. It meets on Wednesday evenings in the church basement. Students of St. Paul's Christian Day School, children of St. Paul's Sunday School, Prism - our men's singing group, and other small vocal groups or soloists sing throughout the year. Day school students play tone-chimes occasionally for services as well. Our piano students are encouraged to play the klavinova before church or during the offering from time to time. HOLY COMMUNION St. Paul's celebrates Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, on the Monday night following that Sunday, and in the the late service on the second Sunday of the month. Additional opportunities for Holy Communion are ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and New Years Eve. Opportunities for Bible Study |
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS is conducted from 9:15am til 10:15am during the school year. This class is usually led by the Pastor. We enjoy refreshments, singing, humor, and Bible study with much discussion.SUNDAY SENIOR TEEN (grades 9-12) and a JUNIOR TEEN (grades 7-8) BIBLE CLASSES are held at the same time as Adult Class. Members of St. Paul's conduct these classes. Two ladies' Bible Classes are held during the week. The TUESDAY LADIES' BIBLE CLASS meets each Tuesday from 9am until 11am in the Conference Room. It is conducted by one of our laywomen. The WEDNESDAY LADIES' BIBLE CLASS meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month in the Conference Room at 9:30am. This class is led by one of our Pastors. MEN'S BIBLE FELLOWSHIP meets twice a month at 7:30am on Saturday mornings in the church basement. For a half hour, we enjoy a wonderful breakfast together and visit. Then, for another half hour, we have Bible Study and discussion. Pastor conducts this study group. BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS is a 10-lesson review of the basics of the Catechism and our Christian faith. It is a fine refresher for members of St. Paul's. It is also recommended for those desiring to know more about St. Paul's or who desire to join St. Paul's. Classes are scheduled on the day and the time of thos desiring to attend, for their convenience. | |

Opportunities for Our Children to Grow in Christ |
ST. PAUL'S SUNDAY SCHOOL is conducted on Sunday mornings during the school year, from 9:15am - 10:15am, in the classrooms of the Educational Wing. The hour includes both singing time and Bible study time. A mission offering is taken each week. Children can be enrolled by speaking with our Pastor, by leaving a message in church office, or by speaking with our Sunday School Superintendent.YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASSES are held for all our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Day School children receive their instructions from the Pastor during their regular school day. Public School children meet on Wednesday afternoons right after school. ST. PAUL'S CHRISTIAN DAY SCHOOL St. Paul's owns and operates a Christian Day School, Pre-Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Enrollment is open to children of our congregation as well as to other children of our community as space allows. For the current schedule of book fees and tuition (member and non-member), please contact the School at 375-3809. St. Paul's Christian Day School has a faculty of 4 full-time teachers, offering ALL-DAY Kindergarten beginning with the '09-'10 school year. We also have implemented a system of classroom assistance designed to benefit both struggling and advanced students. Our Pastor is also regularly involved with our education program. Additional Day School programs during the year include such activities as: volleyball, basketball, science fair, forensics, math meet, school play/musical, softball, track, intramural football. LUTHERAN BOY PIONEERS and LUTHERAN GIRL PIONEERS are open to all children in grades 3-8. Meeting are held each month during the school year. Volunteers from the congregation serve as leaders and helpers for these groups. For a week during the summer, St. Paul's holds VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL. This is taught by volunteers and is open to all children age 3 through those entering 6th grade. The children end their week by singing for the church service. | |
