Youth Ministries are ministries by, with, to, and for teenagers and their families. Through a focused youth ministries program, Trinity Lutheran Church affirms the role, place, and ministry of each teenager in the community life of our parish, and pledges parish support for publicizing and enabling each of those ministries .
Our program has four different facets:
Community Building: How do we get to know one another, how do we take care of each other, how do we have fun together?
Parish Involvement: How can we work alongside adults in our congregation to enhance the quality of our life together?.
Being Christian in the World: What is it like to live as Christians in a world whose values often clash with what the Church teaches? Where is the support we need to stay faithful to who God created us to be?
Social Justice and Outreach: The baptismal covenant commands that we seek and serve Christ in all others, loving our neighbor as ourselves. It also commands that we work for justice and peace in the world. What tasks and ministries show us how to be servants in the name of Christ?

November 1 - 3: Free Ride, Del/Md. Synod Middle High Youth event; Camp Letts, Edgewater, Maryland (see details below)

January 3 - 5, 10 - 12, 2003: Middle High Youth Quake, Baltimore -- save the date!

March 7 - 9, 2003: Senior High Youth Congress, Virginia Beach.

Youth Information
Youth Quake and Youth Congress:
Registration deadline is October 31. Pick up permission slips and fliers on the door to Micki's office.

Free Ride:
cost is $125. Scholarships available. Registration deadline September 28. Flier and registration forms are in your family orientation packets.

2003 ELCA Youth Gathering, Atlanta:
Registration form and non-refundable deposit due to Trinity by September 10. NO EXCEPTIONS!

If you missed the orientation parties in August then you don't have your orientation packet -- pick it up in the parish office!

Middle High: Vote for the movie!
Let me know by email whether you want to see The Fellowship of the Rings, Harry Potter and the Sourcerer's Stone, or Star Wars the Phantom Menace. Deadline to vote is September 15 -- after that it's my choice!
