Southern Illinois District web page.
Our mission statement is:
The mission of the Southern Illinois District of the Lutheran Women’s
Missionary League is to encourage each woman in the district to grow
spiritually and to use her God given gifts to praise God and serve people.
|
|
Our district has
seven zones, with approximately 104 local societies. Its territory is from the Ohio River to
Litchfield Illinois. We are one of
the smaller zones in the LWML; however, we are also one of the most
active. We spiritually grow through
rallies, retreats, board meetings, zone gatherings, workshops, praise and thanksgiving
events, and various other happenings.

Our quarterly publication, the Missionette, is
edited by Jane Lucht. It keeps us
informed of district happenings. She

Our 2002-2004 mite goal is $45,000. For a list of our grant recipients, please

Our Spring Rally will be held Saturday, March 13th,
at the Fountains in Fairview Heights.

campus of Southern Illinois Edwardsville.
