Student of the Word - Servant of Christ
Articles and papers on various theological topics by Pastor Don Engebretson
Welcome! You may browse public areas of our site.
NOTE: At this time it does not appear that readers of this blog can actively post comments on what I have written. Until I figure out how to change this (if it is possible), please feel free to write me at: frzeke@dwave.net. I would be glad to hear your perspective and insights on the articles of this site!!!

Greetings and welcome to my little corner of cyberspace! This site was originally created with the modest intent of having a place to 'park' some of my articles for the benefit of my daughter and those with whom she discussed the weighty depths of theology. I hope, however, that it may serve beyond that and mature with time.

I have included articles or papers concerning:
--APOLOGETIC ISSUES, especially dealing with the topic of creation and the flood, as well as one dealing with the status of those who never hear the Word and come to faith in Christ (i.e. salvation or non-salvation of the heathen)
--BAPTISM, with special attention to infant baptism and infant faith
--WORSHIP, especially the issue of Contemporary Worship, images in the church, and a brief article on why applause in worship is not proper
--I also plan to include some Bible studies, sermons, youth skits, etc. as space and time permit. Check back occasionally to see what might be new. I have a number of these items to share in the future.
-----Some of the Archived articles-----
-Inside the Masons (Sept)
-A Lutheran Leaves for Rome (Sept)
-Cherishing Traditions - or Spurning Them? (Oct)
-A Toning Down of the Charismatics? (Oct)
-The Work and the Glory - Mormons in the Movies (Feb)
-Evolution and Intelligent Design - Some Thoughts (Feb)
-Justification by Faith - Is It Really an Ancient Teaching?
(Feb)
-The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Feb)

***NOTE: The newest article concerns the Government and our responsibility to obey. Is there ever a time for proper revolution against the governing authorities? How might a Lutheran have responded to the American Revolution?***

God bless!
Pastor Engebretson
