Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! This is the Easter greeting we can share with one another as Christians. This is the center of our baptized life in Christ, that just as we have been buried with Christ by baptism into death, so we believe we will be raised with him in a resurrection like his. For over 100 years, the Lutheran Christians of these congregations have been confessing this faith, and the Holy Spirit has been at work in this place among and through people such as you, offering all people forgiveness, life, and hope in Jesus' name. This is the good news that produces in us a fruitful response for the sake of the neighbor and the glory of God.My husband Larry and I, along with our two boys, are pleased to be living in Bowdon. Larry is from Stanley, and I am the daughter of missionaries to Egypt from the Minot area. Before seminary, we lived and worked at Camp of the Cross Ministries near Garrison, ND. We have so much enjoyed this past year and give thanks that we can share in the lives going on around us. I share these sermons for the sake of those in this parish who are not able to come to worship regularly, but others of you are welcome to read them too. I would welcome hearing from you, and we certainly invite you to join us for worship, Bible study, and fellowship.
