1. Though created good, we are sinners that tend toward unbelief in God and belief in ourselves as gods
2. We can depend on the Holy Spirit working on us through the hearing of the Word
3. That the Bible is the cradle of Christ and is both law and gospel
4. The law both orders life and accuses sinners
5. The gospel brings the conscience comfort and relief
6. Baptism, Holy Communion, and preaching of the Word are the means of grace
7. We undergo a daily dying and rising
8. We are simultaneously saint and sinner
9. We cannot by our own understanding or effort believe in Jesus Christ our Lord or come to him
10. Faith itself is a gift
