The delegates at the 23rd Biennial Convention in Perrysburg have chosen the following Mission Grants to support through mite giving: Ohio District Student Aid & Recruitment Committee: Students preparing for full-time ministry in the LCMS($10,000); Ohio District Student Aid & Recruitment Committee: Students preparing for full-time pastoral ministry in the LCMS($10,000); Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne, food and clothing co-op ($7,500); Victory Lutheran Church - Food Bank, Youngstown ($3,000); Refugee Ministry - Southwest, Ohio ($12,600); Lutherans Do care in Appalachia, Our Savior, Chillicothe, Ohio ($10,000); Mission Team Formation Grant, Ohio District, West Virginia ($15,000); Trinity Lutheran Blind Ministries, Trinity, Toledo, Ohio ($4,000); Worship for Shut-Ins, Fr. Wayne, Indiana (Partial funding $7,900). |
