BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
U.S. Government service totaling 16 years; 10 years Federal Protective Service (FPS); FPS was transferred to Department Homeland Security when created. I retired December 2004. 3 years General Services Administration – Public Buildings Service; and 3 years U.S. Army as Chaplain Assistant (Administrative position).

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
10 years of electronic security systems which included installation, service and repair, design and engineering of security systems, estimation of costs, procurement of equipment and services, budget, cost, and project management. The work also included writing of construction specifications and developments of blueprints for the security countermeasures. Projects ranged in cost from $50 to $300,000. In ten years I oversaw over $2.1 million worth of projects. Last two years was a team leader of 4 others and Regional Field Manager, Electronic Security Systems. I was responsible for oversight of security systems in four western states.

9 years of commercial construction estimation for specialty areas. Develop working relationships with architects, engineers, construction supervisors, and buyers. Responsibilities include creation of bid, procurement, delivery and service of accounts.

2 years Operation Manager for retail power equipment store. As manager I was responsible for daily receipts and deposits. As part of the position I managed the parts department for small engine parts and supplies. That included inventory management, ordering and payment to suppliers. Hired and supervised up to 14 seasonal employees and 3 year around employees.
