The people of Ascension coming to the altar
to recieve Holy Communion on our 100th Anniversary.
The people of our church are the church. We welcome you to join us! The members here at Ascension are a friendly bunch. Many of us grew up here, and quite a few are the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the original Hungarian immigrants who founded and built the church. Others of us have come to Ascension from Reformed, Presbyterian, Moravian, Catholic or other backgrounds. All are welcome, and all are celebrated for the unique gifts they bring to our community.

Our President, Steve Kalman
Steve has been a member of Ascension all his life. His parents joined the church on their marriage in 1939, both sets of his grandparents having immigrated from Hungary. In addition to his duties on the church council, Steve serves full time as director of the Campus Kids School operated out of the church's facilties. His goals for the congregation are to keep regular services going for the congregation and maintain the historic church for the next generation. Before retiring, Steve was a school social worker with the New Brunswick Board of Education, and an avid sports entusiast to this day, coached Baseball and Football for more than 30 years. He is proud to be a life-long member of Ascension and invites you to join our tradition of service and community.

We are a little church with a big heart- a church family we like to say. Our members & friends come from New Brunswick and the surrounding area, and from farther afield. We look forward to meeting you too.
