Since 1996 small churches of the Rocky Mountain District have gathered for professional growth and to encourage one another. Small churches are vital and unique. By gathering together we can help resource and encourage one another in both the joys and trials of serving in a small church.

The Small Church Still has a Voice
THE SMALL CHURCH CONFERENCE Theme this year is "The Still Small Voice." Our guest speaker is Dr. John T. Pless, Professor at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The June 16-18 Conference will focus on the challenges and joys of congregations with less than 100 in worship on Sunday. Besides our main speaker's presentation we will offer some papers (by our participants)on various issues of ministry and how the changes in Synod may or may not change the face of ministry in a smaller parish. If pastors would like to attend the conference (their families are also welcome), the registration form is available on line at www.lutheransonline.com/SmallChurches. An effort has been made to make the conference as inexpensive as possible by providing some local housing and scheduling it to be held in the Denver Metro area just before the RMD Convention.
