Sing A New Song
Welcome to the online home of the Faith Lutheran Praise Band. Faith Lutheran Church is located in Northeast Philadelphia and was founded in 1960. In 2002 the congregation voted to establish a contemporary worship service and the praise band was born. In October of 2009 Bill Murray was appointed as Praise Director. The Praise Band relies on a group of dedicated volunteers.
Lenten Mid Week Services
Join Pastor Owen Griffiths at 7:30 pm Wednesday evenings during Lent for a series of readings , songs and teachings exploring the Lutheran Faith .
Passion Play
Chuck Hendricks , one of our praise band drummers is part of the Passion Play production presented by Lawndale Baptist Church. For performance dates and times visit their website at www.lawndalebaptistchurch.org. Admission is free
Welcome to the Band (Well Sort Of)
This weeks practice was enlivened by the contributions of our own Kristen Rutter . Kris currently sings with the praise team and when faced with the dreaded task of performing a vocal solo for the youth mass did what any self respecting musician would do..... Dusted off her violin ,left the singers in the lurch and joined the band . Kris did a great job at practice and we look forward to her future performances.
