OUR CHILDREN ARE SAVING LIVES!!! |
Every year, our daily religion program collects an offering for a mission project. This year we are sending our funds to the Lutheran Malaria Initiative.The Lutheran Malaria Initiative (LMI) – an unprecedented effort to mobilize U.S. Lutherans to help end malaria deaths in Africa – will officially launch Sept. 18-20 with several congregations and schools across the country hosting special offerings, recognitions and other activities. We will be raising funds to buy mosquito nets, for $10 each. Each net will not only protect the person sleeping under it, but will also be treated with a pesticide to kill the mosquitos that land on it. Every net we buy is another life saved! We will be having a special presentation of this program to the children at our Chapel Service on October 5, and all are welcome to come and support this wonderful mission of sharing the Gospel and saving lives. |
